They are designed to be shortened to either restrain the user from falling or limiting the distance they fall. By shortening the Protecta Adjustable Rope fall arrest lanyard to match the job application, the risk of going over the edge or having a fall is greatly reduced. While the Protecta brand is the “non-premium” brand in the 3M range, it draws from the experience and technology of the range of premium products.
