Skylotec LORY PLUS

Skylotec's reliable descender and belay device is the LORY. The Lory is a dependable semi automatic rope access and rescue companion due to its many applications for example, (abseiling up to 225 kg load). Also for work positioning, restraint at slab or roof edges, temporary anchoring, or fall arrest in flexible systems. Suits 10 -12 mm Rope.Using the LORY, a belaying person can easily feed and take rope. When using the device correctly, it blocks automatically in case of a fall.

The LORY PRO model with its unimpeded movement of the cam is the ideal device for industrial purposes. It is equipped with a descent handle that ensures secured and controlled abseiling. The double-stop function blocks if the handle is pulled overly in panic and provides extra safety.

The LORY X is a work positioning rope lanyard that can be adjusted under loads. The device has a handle for setting it to an optimal working position while in motion. An integrated panic function prevents unintended lurching rope movement if the lever is opened too far. Unlike the LORY PRO, the silver button in the middle of the device cannot be opened by pressing which prevents unintentional opening during use. All that is needed to exchange the rope when worn or if needed is an Allan key, size 2. The rope thickness is 11 mm. The LORY X can also be used as a backup safety device.

The LORY is used primarily in sports climbing whilst the LORY Pro & LORY X are widely used in industrial applications.
