SafeTec Duck-R Rope Access Back-Up Device, design based on the iconic Petzl Shunt. Stainless Steel Body, Stainless Steel Cam. Certified to CE 0120 and EN 12841:2006 A. Suitable for 10.5 - 11mm Static Abseiling Rope.
A simple robust backup device.
The Duck-R conforms to EN 12841 and unlike older products, works on a single rope and can be towed continuously for short descents after a function test.
With a steel body and spring, it certainly outlasts many competitors, and the non-spike design means it's kind to ropes.
- This version of the DUCK has a Steel cam that is tougher so it lasts longer in extremely abrasive conditions (e.g. cement dust, sand).
- This steel cam can be replaced or swapped to the alloy cam that comes with the other Duck R version
