The PETZL Absorbica-Y MGO Lanyard is a double lanyard with compact energy absorber and pre-installed MGO connectors. It is made for progression on vertical or horizontal structures and designed to maintain a point of contact when passing intermediate anchors. The PETZL Absorbica-Y MGO Lanyard comes in 80 or 150 cm length versions (without connectors) and is rated for users who weigh between 50 and 130 kg.

  • Designed for progression on a vertical structure or horizontal lifeline, and when passing intermediate anchors

  • Absorbs energy in the event of a fall:

    - Progressive tearing of the energy absorber webbing limits the impact force on the user

    - Works with users who weigh between 60 and 140 kg

  • Designed for use with a maximum length of 100 cm, including connectors

  • Minimal bulk: the energy absorber’s very compact design doesn’t hinder the user during progression

  • Durable fabric pouch with a simple opening system protects the energy absorber from abrasion or contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorber

  • Two options for installation on the harness, depending on use:

    - Frequent connection/disconnection: with a carabiner held in correct position by the STRING positioning accessory (included with the lanyard)

    - Semi-permanent connection: with a RING OPEN gated ring, whose circular shape allows optimal positioning

  • Two options for connectors at end of lanyard: carabiners or large-opening MGO OPEN connectors
